COMMERCIAL INTERIOR DESIGN PROJECT SOMFY, SINGAPORE

When we were tasked to design the Somfy Asia Office in a month’s time, after few design meetings with the GM and the team, we realised there was a need of an Art influx which ties back to the roots of the company’s origin, which is France.

Piet Mondrian, the dutch Painter and the pioneer of the 20th century Abstract Art, moved to France in 1918, where he fully embraced the art of pure abstraction and his grid based paintings, the style for which he came to be renowned, had huge impact in the art scene of France.

This Artwork of his has undergone a lot of refinement and have evolved during his years in Paris.

The evolution history resonates with Somfy as a company with roots in France and the growth and evolution worldwide.

Thick black lines separate the forms, more of the forms left white, symbolising for space for growth and the rest filled with primary colors picked from the company’s brand Colors.
